investigated the partial replacement of sand with quarry dust. Initially cement concrete cube was studied with various proportions of cement concrete + quarry dust (M 20, AND M25). The experimental results showed that the addition of quarry dust as fine aggregate ratio of 30%, 40% and 50% was found to enhance the compressive properties.
These materials are expected to reduce the density of the admixture, and thus producing lightweight mortar. This study aims to study the effect of using pistachio shells as partial replacement of sand on the properties of cement mortar.

The concrete mix made using granite powder (GP) and iron powder (IP) as partial replacement of sand showed good workability and fluidity similar to normal concrete mixes. 2. The compressive strength of concrete increased with the addition of granite powder (GP) as partial replacement of sand.
sources of natural sand and the requirement for reduction in the cost of concrete production has resulted in the increased need to find new alternative materials to replace river sand so that excess river erosion is prevented and high strength concrete is obtained at lower cost. Partial or full replacement of natural sand by the other
Jun 06, 2017· Materials for replacement of sand are a. Crushed sand (Manufactured sand), rock are crushed to give particle size and grading at par with sand. The replacement can go up to . b.Crusher dust (quarry waste), % finer than 150 micron are a concern...
optimize partial replacement of fine aggregate. From the result of experiments, it is found that 50% of M-sand can be replaced for fine aggregate to attain both self-compatibility and strength for concrete applications. adding partial replacement on cement with fly ash and complete replacement of sand with m sand. Abstract:- Experimental Study, Partial Replacement, Cement, Fly Ash, Sand, M sand 1.INTRODUCTION Concrete is the most widely used construction material in civil engineering industry because of its high structural strength, stability, and malleability.
prepared for testing the compressive strength concrete. The concrete mixes with varying percentages (0%, 10%, 20% and 30%) of iron slag as partial replacement of fine aggregate (sand) were cast into cubes for testing. 23.13 In this study, to make concrete, cement and fine aggregate were first mixed dry to uniform colour and
This study present the potential of quarry dust as partial replacement in concrete. Quarry dust is used as partial sand replacement for sand namely as QDC5, QDC10, QDC15, QDC20 and QDC25 for 5% ...
This present work is an attempt to use Quarry Dust as partial replacement for Sand in concrete. Attempts have been made to study the properties of concrete and to investigate some properties of Quarry Dust the suitability of those properties to enable them to be used as partial replacement materials for sand in concrete.
Sep 17, 2018· Plastic waste is a viable partial replacement for sand in structural concrete, according to a new study by researchers from the UK and India. Their findings could help businesses in India dealing with a sand shortage while at the same time addressing the .
Sep 13, 2018· Research at the University of Bath has shown waste plastic to be a viable partial replacement for sand in structural concrete, providing one .
In this project our main objective is to study the influence of partial replacement of cement with marble powder, and to compare it with the compressive and tensile strength of ordinary M20 concrete. We are also trying to find the percentage of marble powder replaced in concrete that makes the strength of the concrete maximum.

as partial replacement for cement to have higher workability, long term strength and to make the concrete more economically available. This present work is an attempt to use Quarry Dust as partial replacement for Sand in concrete. Attempts have been made to study the properties of concrete and to investigate some
This study investigated the use of sawdust as partial replacement for fine aggregates in concrete production. Sawdust was used to replace fine aggregates from 0% to 50% in steps of 10%.
Also, the use of quarry dust as the fine aggregate decreases the cost of concrete production in terms of the partial replacement for natural river sand. Design mix of M25grade concrete with replacement of 0%, 20%, 25%, 30%, and 35% of quarry dust organized as M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5 respectively have been considered for laboratory analysis viz ...
Efforts have been made in the concrete industry to use waste glass as partial replacement of coarse or fine aggregates and cement. In this study, finely powdered waste glasses are used as a partial replacement of cement in concrete and compared it with conventional concrete.
alternative material to natural sand. Some alternatives materials have already been used as a replacement of natural sand such as fly-ash, quarry dust or limestone and siliceous stone powder, filtered sand, copper slag are used in concrete and mortar mixtures as a partial or full replacement of natural sand (Chandana Sukesh et al 2013)[9].

Instead of disposing them in landfills, it can be best utilized as partial replacement to sand. In crusher dust, the particles (% finer than 150 microns) are generally high, a major concern limiting its percentage replacement to minimum with sand in a concrete mix. It can be replaced to the amount 25%. Its Availability is not a concern.
